Beazley Designs of the Year

Very happy to share that Ouroboros Steak has been nominated for Beazley Designs of the Year. The steaks will be on display at the London Design Museum through March 28, 2021. Originally commissioned for the “Designs for Different Futures” exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the project is a collaboration between Dr. Andrew Pelling and Grace Knight. The steaks are also on display at the Walker Art Center.

Nikil Saval on Design

Ouroborous Steak (2019) and the Design for Different Futures exhibition, which are currently on view at the Walker Art Center are reviewed by Nikil Saval for the New York Times Style Magazine. The essay is a good reflection on the current status of design fields in relation to the pandemic, environmental crisis, and a “bleak” future…

New York Times Review

Designs for Different Futures has been reviewed by New York Times. Many thanks to Arlene Hirst for her generous review. I am grateful to all curators, exhibition designers, conservators, interns, and museum personnel for helping us realize this project. This has been an amazing adventure.
